Hello & good morning all of you! Last week, Elise, Ella, & me all traveled down to San Luis Obispo, California for a 4-day trip. We stayed at the Evergreen hotel, which is located right on the beach at Pismo beach. We went on this trip since it gave our youngest daughter Ella got the opportunity to see Cal Poly State University. We toured the college, & Ella did some excellent activities to learn more about the school. The three of us also met with the daughter of a parent that plays tennis with Elise in Seattle, & this was a great way for the three of us to learn more about Cal Poly, for sure!

In terms of Pismo beach, Elise & I went on several fantastic walks on the beach that were great exercise for me. Elise & I also went to the Avila beach on one of the days, & we had our favorite meal, which included oysters & a seafood soup for me at Custom House restaurant.

This indeed was a wonderful trip, but the start of it was a bit challenging because our flight to leave out of Seattle got cancelled just before we were going to take off. It was very odd to happen for mechanical issues, but we ended up turning around & going back to the gate. We eventually got on a different airplane & completed our flight to Los Vegas successfully, but we missed our flight to San Luis Obispo. We ended up having to fly to San Francisco on a different airline, & drive down to San Luis Obispo.

Ella has gotten into many outstanding colleges, & she might decide to attend a different college, but Elise & I are hoping that she chooses Cal Poly.
