Hello all of you, and good morning…! We all know that today is a very special and very important day. Today, we all reflect respect and honor Martin Luther King Jr. and we celebrate his accomplishments on addressing and stopping the interests and pressures of racism that many people were pushing for development in our country. Racism is disgusting for sure, but today is “Martin Luther King Jr. Day”, and we all celebrate having him in all of our lives…!

Do any of you want to share what you did on MLK day? I am wondering have any of you read the book “Stride Towards Freedom”?

We use the day as a day of service at the college. I participated in a project with the Hope Center that collects suitcases for foster care kids so that they have something to use to pack with when they move.

  2. Great thoughts. I watched a documentary on Cassius Clay which had reference to the conflict between MLK’s approach to racial injustice and Louis Farrakhan Nation of Islam. As much as there has been progress, the racial tension and attitudes remain the same.
